UC Davis Open Source Geospatial Laboratory Collaboration

The UC Davis Open Source Geospatial Laboratory Collaboration is a collection of labs and researchers at UC Davis that work with, research and offer opportunities for students, around open source geospatial technologies.

We belong to a network of organizations under the umbrella of a Memorandum of Understanding between the International Cartographic Association (ICA) and the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo).

The following groups and researchers are currently participating:

 

Public Laboratory for Open Technology & Science

The Public Laboratory for Open Technology & Science is a non-profit group of scientists and non-scientists working together to develop inexpensive technologies for measuring and documenting environmental conditions, including DIY aerial photography, spectrometers, and photo stitching and georeferencing tools.  Staff at Geospatial Consulting participate in the Public Lab as community members and organizers.
